Breaking: Kickoff Time Announced For Georgia-Alabama And More

-Birmingham

Tuesday, CBS Sports released its TV lineup for the 2020 SEC football season.

After months of waiting, Georgia fans will be delighted to hear that the October 17th game at Alabama will kickoff at 8:00 PM ET.

In a year without COVID-19, a night game in Bryant-Denny-Stadium is the last thing Bulldog fans likely wanted. However, with just 20% capacity for this year’s game and no away fans, an 8:00 kick creates a perfect slot for TV watching in primetime.

Also included in CBS’ announcement is the news that the Georgia-Auburn game in Week 2 will not be broadcast by the network. Instead, CBS will head to Tuscaloosa again for the Alabama-Texas A&M game at 3:30 PM ET on October 3rd.

What does this mean? Well, chances are, the Bulldogs will now take on both Alabama teams after dark this year.

If you were ever a fan of night games at the bars or a backyard drive-in, this seems to be the season for you.

However, one constant that remains in the traditional CBS lineup is the annual Georgia-Florida game kicking off in Jacksonville at 3:30 PM ET.

UPDATE: Georgia @ Arkansas will kickoff at 4:00 PM ET on 9/26.

With just a few weeks left until toe meets leather, it’s time to start prepping the man-caves and finishing up any weekend chores before the Dawgs meet first-year head coach Sam Pittman in Fayetteville on September 26th.
